Our Story

On October 23, 2001, Bashir and Seema Janjua purchased a building with the idea of taking care of people. Located at 119 Marlborough Street North in Cornwall, Ontario, the building underwent many months of extensive renovations to create the quaint residence now known as Marlborough Place I. The hard-working couple and their two children welcomed their first resident on April 1, 2002.

On May 1, 2005, Mr. and Mrs. Janjua expanded their business with the purchase of a second building located at 429 Second Street East in Cornwall, Ontario. Their intention was to convert the beautiful mid-century home into a comfortable senior's residence. Renovations took place over the course of a year to bring into existence Marlborough Place II.

On November 15, 2013, the Janjua family completed their third acquisition. Residence du Village, a fully-functioning home in Casselman, Ontario became Marlborough Place III. Many renovations and quality control procedures were put in place to bring Marlborough Place III to the same high standards as the other two homes in Cornwall

Over the last 14 years, the Marlborough Place name has grown in the city of Cornwall. They are known for their wonderful one-on-one care, fantastic staff, amazing food, and family-oriented atmosphere among residents, staff and management.

A family business that has grown by leaps and bounds because of strong work ethic, care, and compassion
