Marlborough Place is Expanding!

Good day ladies and gentlemen!

As some of you may have already read on Facebook, we have purchased a fourth building to convert into an assisted-living residence. We are so excited to start on this journey and share with you our progress!

Even before the sale’s closing date (September 30th), we were already brainstorming ideas and discussing with our real-estate agent, Terry Landon from Re/Max Cornwall Realty Inc., and with several contractors, engineers and architects of how best to use the space.

Last week, we also had the honour of meeting with the Mayor of South Stormont, His Worship Jim Bancroft and the Deputy Mayor, Tammy Hart to discuss our plans. Our gracious hosts welcomed us with enthusiasm and it elates us to know that we have their support.

We are still in the consultation and tendering process of our “reno” adventure but we are eager to start on this project, which is the largest renovation undertaken by us thus far!

Returning to the building itself, St. George’s Catholic School, we would be remiss if we did not acknowledge the unfortunate loss of another school in the counties of S. D. & G. Serving the community of Long Sault since 1957, St. George’s Catholic School provided students from grades 5 through 8 with a Catholic education and carried an excellent reputation in team sports.

This past summer, the school had been consolidated with Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic School in Ingleside. Although its longstanding name in the community is now gone, St. George soldiers on in its new home as the amalgamation brings with it a revitalization of Our Lady of Good Counsel with the creation of a green space and a much needed expansion, and to it, the introduction of the “Dragon’s Den” and all of its spirited students.

As sad as we are to see this notable landmark vanish from the old Mille Roches landscape, we are even more determined to work hard and serve the community in a way that will offer it and its residents a sense of gain. By retrofitting the school to become an assisted-living residence for seniors, we intend to offer seniors in the area and the environs a clean and welcoming home in which to reside. Most importantly, we want to focus on independent-living all the while offering excellent care at affordable rates.

We wish to keep the residents of the Long Sault community informed as we move along with our project. To keep you abreast of all the changes, we will be releasing an article on our blog available on this website, on the last Thursday of each month leading up to our opening.

Thank you all for tuning in to hear our story!

All the best,

The Janjua Family

Thank you to the students of St. George’s Catholic School for leaving their inspiring words of wisdom. We wish these students all the best in their new school and hope they continue to soldier on in St. George fashion.

Wonderfully brilliant idea and a very positive addition to the local community of Long Sault.
As demonstrated at other Marlborough locations, I am certain the Janjua Family's high ideals and superior standards will supersede all expectations .

Wishing you success and blessings from the almighty.

I am so very pleased that an addition of Marlborough is on its way and knowing the other homes are so well managed with the caring staff and the needs of the residents are so well met. Thank you to the Janjua family, may God bless you all.

It's not as nice as it sounds as my brother is in the first one and for what he pays they freeze in the winter and they suffer with heat in the summer like right now and the food is always fast food or pasta they hardly ever have decent good meals I am at the moment trying to find something else for him fir what these people pay there there is no reason why they can't afford to care for them properly.
